Welcome to my art practice journey!
I am thrilled to invite you to join me as we explore the world of painting together. Regardless of your experience level - whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist - there is always something new to discover.
As a member of this community, you will have access to a weekly painting session I will guide you through. Along the way, I will share tips and techniques to help you improve your skills. Whether you choose to paint along with me or simply sit back and relax while enjoying the show with a bag of popcorn, there will be something for everyone.
But this isn't solely about painting. It's about creating a safe, fun, and inspiring space where we can learn and grow together. Each session will include educational snippets about painting, design, mindset, and more. You'll develop your artistic skills and broaden your knowledge and appreciation of the art world.
As a member, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with other artists, share your work, and receive even more ideas from other community members and me. This is a supportive and inclusive environment where we celebrate our creativity and encourage each other to reach new heights.
I will show you
- Inspiration behind my mark-making
- Techniques and exercises to sharpen our design skills
- My juicy color mixing techniques
- How I produced my sketchbook
- How I troubleshoot my paintings
- My art-making stages from the beginning, middle, and the end
- Everything you want to know about my practice. :)
- And occasional fun art videos.

Will I need new art supplies?
If you've already been making acrylic art, you may have these already. Here are my go-to supplies: Montana markers, Posca markers, Lukas Acrylic or any acrylic paints, soft pastels of any brand, Chip Flat brush from a home improvement store, Tupperware buckets, and shop towels, to name a few. I will supply you with the list when you're in the club.
With a wealth of experience spanning 26 years as a visual designer and artist, I have had the good fortune of collaborating with numerous talented product designers and artists.
Throughout my career, I have focused on creating digital products that marry technical functionality with a soulful essence.
Despite this, I have experienced a troubling challenge that has threatened to undermine the efficacy of my creative practice: a "spiceless" art practice. This is a practice without a clear sense of purpose, leaving me without my unique voice or perspective. I struggled to enter my studio with confidence and vision, and most worryingly, I had lost my motivation.
Determined to regain my creative spark, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, seeking answers that would help reignite my passion for art. Through trial and error, I discovered a set of principles and practices that reignited my motivation and helped me cultivate a more vibrant, meaningful, and fulfilling art practice.
I am excited to share my hard-earned knowledge with you and help you find your own "spice." Together, we can transform your art practice and reignite your creative flame.
This is your safe space.
Experiment often, and be your true self.
Get clear on your WHY. If you don’t know your WHY, keep working anyway.
Listen to others’ points of view.
Share your point of view.
Quiet down your heart, and listen to your intuition.
Your art is your story. Say it authenticity.
You have it in you!
You are uniquely beautiful; paint that!
Turn it upside down, or let it sit for a while.
It’s only paint.
Be kind, and give more.
Take your practice seriously, don’t take yourself too seriously
Incremental progress.
Perfection is not what you’re looking for.
Be a knowledge sponge.
The process is more sacred than the art itself.
Do, make, share, let go, repeat.
