FAQ

When does the Membership start and Finish?
This membership is entirely self-paced. You can revisit previous lessons and watch/rewatch them at your own pace.

How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you have unlimited access to all the courses and the supportive community for as long as you like - across any devices you own.

Can I get one-to-one teaching and feedback from you?
Yes, you can. We have live Zoom calls on the first and third of every month. In one of these sessions, I give direct feedback on your work. I'm very active in the club, and you can ask me any questions you have, either live, recorded, or in regular posts.

Will I learn about color, design, etc.?
Yes, you will. Our main course, which has five stages, covers how to start, edit, and finish your paintings. This includes sketching, color, and design.

Can I contact you for guidance?
Yes, of course! You can use our chat channel to reach me or ask the community for ideas. I think many ideas can be better than just one.

Will I learn about running an art business?
Yes. The last stage of our course is about how to run an art business. I share my experiences, what works, and what doesn't work.

Do you guide on how to price art?
Yes, we discussed pricing in the last part of our course, which is about running an art business.

What if I am unhappy with the course?
If you are unhappy with your purchase, contact us within three days of the next subscription charge, and your membership will cease. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for the Membership.

Is this suitable for beginners or advanced artists?
This course is perfect for anyone who needs some spice back in their creative practice. My five creative stages will serve both beginners and advanced artists alike. This is a continuous practice to help us grow our intuition and artistic muscle memories.

Will I need new art supplies?
If you've already been making acrylic art, you may have these already. Here are my go-to supplies: Montana markers, Posca markers, Lukas Acrylic or any acrylic paints, soft pastels of any brand, Chip Flat brush from a home improvement store, Tupperware buckets, and shop towels, to name a few. I will supply you with the list when you're in the club.

Spice Stories

Spice Art Club has changed my life!
Before spice I would sit on YouTube and watch all your videos over and over. Then came the opportunity for a direct line to you! You have no idea how grateful I am and how much I've learned, but continue to learn from you.
- Hayley Gecelter

I love the variety and especially appreciate being able to go to recordings when I am able. I work full time and can't always attend live events.
- Barbara Weber

This is my favorite type of lesson - it helps me - to hear you consider changes, what you are thinking, and how relates to design and what you do and show/talk about what happens - thank you, Nino!
- Debra Stanis

Last Friday's session has been really freeing me up, a lot of my gears have disappeared since then, thank you and the Club!
- Benedicte Allee

An intimate community of artists in his group and is developing a series of mini-workshops within the membership-one of which is about using acrylic paint markers. After watching it, I finally got some big markers and experimented with them a bit today. He's got a lighthearted but diligent approach to art-making that resonates with me.
- Darla Myers

Wonderful - It is meditative and you use colors I would not think to put together and they look great. Very inspirational. Since the sketching demo - I started sketching daily and love it.
Thank you!
- Debra Stanis

I can watch this for hours! It’s as exciting as a nice film on Netflix!
- Loes van de Ridder

I have been a member of Spice Art Club for a little over a year. In this safe place, as a beginning artist, I am learning daily about process over results and how to just post my artwork for accountability, letting go of more results. So much generosity and support from my Spicey Art Pals!
- Vicki Seastrom

I love the encouragement and sharing that takes place in this community. I also get a lot out of the feedback sessions and am enjoying the videos you've created. I'm still rather new to the group and haven't had the time I'd like to devote to exploring more of the site. There's a wonderful sense of playfulness here too!
- Karen Miraldi

I feel I have more confidence when throwing the paint around (on the canvas, I mean). The paint on the floor, well that has always been there. I am less judgmental of my work. Just letting it flow. Also working in shorter bursts of time so I stop earlier before I have created mud. That alone was a huge step forward.  I was always ruining everything by overpainting & not letting it dry between layers.
- Nancy Fern

I have learned to trust myself. I have learned to simplify. I could go on, I have 100 good things to say, but I am trying to simplify. haha.
- Mia Stilwell Hinchey

About me

With my 26 years of experience as an artist and designer, I am truly grateful to have collaborated with so many talented product designers and artists. Over the course of my career, I have dedicated myself to crafting digital products that seamlessly blend technical functionality with heartfelt emotion.

However, I have encountered a hurdle that has impacted my creative process: a lack of inspiration. This has resulted in the loss of my unique perspective and motivation, making it challenging to confidently work within my studio.

Determined to recapture my creativity, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. Through countless trials and errors, I discovered principles and practices that have reignited my motivation and breathed new life into my art, infusing it with vibrance and significance.

I am thrilled to share the knowledge I have gained and assist you in finding your own wellspring of inspiration. Together, we can revolutionize your artistic practice and rekindle the flames of your creative spirit. Ultimately, my mission is to help you feel truly alive in your work, crafting authentic pieces that endure and nurturing a sense of tranquility within yourself throughout the process.

Spice Art Club Manifesto

This is your safe space.
Experiment often, and be your true self.
Get clear on your WHY. If you don’t know your WHY, keep working anyway.
Listen to others’ points of view.
Share your point of view.
Quiet down your heart, and listen to your intuition.
Your art is your story. Say it authenticity.
You have it in you!
You are uniquely beautiful; paint that!
Turn it upside down, or let it sit for a while.
It’s only paint.
Be kind, and give more.
Take your practice seriously, don’t take yourself too seriously
Incremental progress.
Perfection is not what you’re looking for.
Be a knowledge sponge.
The process is more sacred than the art itself.
Do, make, share, let go, repeat.
